Emergency Response and Evacuation Procedure

Upon the confirmation from Capri faculty, staff or local police officials, of a significant emergency or dangerous situation involving an immediate threat to the health or safety of students or employees on campus, Capri will notify the ESCC at: http://www.emergencyclosingcenter.com/complete.html Capri will, without delay notify students and faculty, with the safety of the community in mind, determine the content of the notification and initiate the notification system, unless the notification will, in the professional judgment of the responsible authorities, compromise efforts to assist victims or to contain, respond to, or otherwise mitigate the emergency. In the event of an emergency situation, members of Faculty or Staff will notify Management whom will contact Campus Directors responsible for carrying out the emergency response and evacuation procedures. Information will be disseminated to the larger community at capri.edu

FERPA

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education.

Policy for Safeguarding Information

Definitions

Prospective students, who apply for admission, and make application for private or government grants or loans to finance their educations are defined as customers of the school.

Personally identifiable information is information which is not publicly available, such as:

Your name, address, and social security number
Name of your financial institution, account number
Information provided on you Capri enrollment application
Information provided on your application for a grant or
loan
Information provided on a consumer report
Information obtained from a website

Policy

Capri is committed to implementing a comprehensive information security program, consistent with the size and complexity of this institution and the nature of its educational activities, to maintain and safeguard your personally identifiable information against damage or loss. The policy covers all student records in whatever format (hard copy, electronic).

The Admission Office shall be responsible for coordinating the school's information security program. At least once every three years, the office will assess foreseeable internal and external risks to the security, confidentiality, and integrity of customer information that could result in the unauthorized disclosure, misuse, alteration, destruction or other compromise of the information. The risk assessment shall cover every relevant area of school operations, including but not limited to:

Employee training and management
Network and software design, processing, storage, transmission and disposal of information
Ways to detect, prevent, and respond to attacks, intrusions or other systems failures

The Admission Office shall design and implement safeguards to control identified risks and shall monitor the effectiveness of them, recommending changes when warranted.

Students shall receive an initial notice of this policy at the time they submit a signed application for enrollment. All currently enrolled students shall receive a notice in the Student Handbook.

Capri shall only enter into servicing agreements with service providers who also maintain appropriate safeguards for customer's personally identifiable information.

Vaccination Policy

Capri does not require vaccinations for admission into our programs. Anyone interested in getting more information about vaccinations should contact their local public health department or consult with their health care provider.

Voter Registration

Capri Beauty College electronically distributes voter registration forms from the Internet. To be eligible to register to vote, you must:

Be a United States citizen,
Not be convicted of an offense and in jail,
Be at least age 18 on or before the next election,
Not claim the right to vote anywhere else, and
Live in your election precinct at least 30 days prior to the next election.

Gainful Employment

U.S. Dept. of Labor's Standard Occupational Classification

39-5012 Hairdressers, Hairstylists, and Cosmetologists Provide beauty services, such as shampooing, cutting, coloring, and styling hair, and massaging and treating scalp. May apply makeup, dress wigs, perform hair removal, and provide nail and skin care services. Excludes "Makeup Artists, Theatrical and Performance (39-5091), "Manicurists and Pedicurists" (39-5092), and "Skincare Specialists" (39-5094).

2011 Tuition and Fees

Capri Beauty College strives to keep fees as competitive as possible. Counselors are available to assist with personal payment plans and Capri students who qualify are eligible for financial aid.
