Instructor Programs
Capri Beauty College is committed to training student teachers for the cosmetology teaching profession, through practical, theoretical and psychological application of applied basic knowledge and skills. Capri prepares each student teacher to pass the State Board examinations and to seek gainful employment upon graduation.
Capri Beauty College offers a 500 Teacher Training Short Course and a 1,000 hour Cosmetology Instructor Course.

Instructor Graduation Requirements
A student teacher will be considered a candidate for graduation when the following requirements have been met:
- Complete required clock hours.
- Complete a lesson plan book.
- Pass a written exam with a score of 80%.
State Board Examination for Instructors
Upon completion of the above requirements, and payment of all monies due the school, the student will receive an Instructor Diploma and be filed to take the Illinois State Board Written Examination. State Board Exam Fees are paid by the student (approximately $110.00) and must be passed with a minimum score of 75%. License must be renewed every two years with 24 hours of continued education.
